Beginning Friday, December 19th, 2014 at 5:00 pm through Sunday, January 4th, 2015, Research Computing will operate with reduced support levels for the UF Winter Break. This is to allow the staff to take well-deserved time off after another intense year that brought GatorBox, UFNet2, statewide collaborative research data storage, and the need to plan for HiPerGator2.
The compute, storage, and network systems will be fully operational and can be used as normal. When problems develop, they will be addressed as soon as possible.
The reduction in service levels will be as follows:
- No new investments for cores or storage will be processed.
- No new software will be installed.
- No requests for advanced user support will be processed.
Normal operations will resume on Monday, January 5th, 2015.
