Research Computing will operate with reduced support levels during the UF Winter Break from Saturday, December 19, 2020 through Sunday, January 10, 2021.

In addition to allowing staff to take some time off, this will allow staff time to focus on deployment of HiPerGator 3.0 and HiPerGator AI.

Outside of the planned outage, the compute, storage, and network systems will be fully operational and can be used as normal. When problems develop, they will be addressed as soon as possible.

The reduction in service levels will be as follows:

  • No new investments for cores or storage will be processed.
  • No new software will be installed.
  • No requests for advanced user support will be processed.

Normal operations will resume on Monday, January 11, 2021.
