On Thursday, October 17th we changed the default environment module for GUI_Programs from gui/1 to gui/2. The RC GUI version 2.0 setup does not require client software installation. Instead, it creates a web-based GUI application session, so a web browser window becomes the canvas on which you interact with applications like RStudio and MatLab or a web-based terminal with xterm. Both regular and GPU hardware-accelerated sessions can be started. See RC GUI-2.0 Documentation for details. The older client/server Xpra setup will still be available from the gui/1 environment module.
