The Department of Statistic’s Annual Winter Workshop will take place on January 19-20, 2018 at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. This year’s title is: “Semi-Parametric and Non-Parametric Statistics in the Era of Big Data.”  The workshop will seek to answer questions regarding new tools and methodologies in semi- and non-parametric statistics, which are currently being adopted in order to meet the challenge of analyzing extreme volumes of high-dimensional data. Abstracts for those interested in participating in the poster session to occur on the first day of talks are now being accepted. Abstract submissions are due December 15, 2017.
