UFIT Research Computing provides storage systems for keeping data that are accessible through HiPerGator; several storage types are available, each with different characteristics (for regulated data, see ResShield & ResVault). HiPerGator exists to enable research activity, and is not intended to be used as a data storage service. To purchase storage capacity, an investor must also purchase compute capacity in order to perform useful work on the stored data.
