Research Computing will operate with reduced support levels during the UF Winter Break from Saturday, December 17, 2016 through Monday, January 2, 2017.
This is to allow the staff to take well-deserved time off for the holidays after working hard throughout the year on many projects, including the expansion of the HiPerGator system.
The compute, storage, and network systems will be fully operational and can be used as normal. When problems develop, they will be addressed as soon as possible.
The reduction in service levels will be as follows:
- No new investments for cores or storage will be processed.
- No new software will be installed.
- No requests for advanced user support will be processed.
Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
